1. We depart from Baños de Agua Santa 07:30 am. During the three-hour journey by private car, we arrive at the first station "Caspi control" located 3200 meters above sea level.

2. After registering; We continue in the same vehicle to the "Mariscal Sucre" interpretation center. This place we will visit for 30 minutes.

3. At 3892 meters above sea level. We will visit “Limpiopungo” lagoon "Clean place". Perfect place for acclimatization.

4. Next, we continue in the vehicle to the parking lot located at 4500 meters above sea level.

5. From the parking lot, we start the walk towards the only refuge in Cotopaxi, “José Rivas”, located at 4800 meters above sea level. The ascent is approximately 1 hour.

6. In suitable climatic conditions; We can continue our way to the glaciers of the volcano.

7. The descent is approximately 1 hour to the volcano parking lot.

8. We continue in the same vehicle downhill until the Caspi control; a specific place for lunch.

9. Finally, we return by vehicle to “Baños de Agua Santa” city.
