Itinerary

Galapagos, 5 day tour

Day 1 Morning - Arrival and transfer

A guide will be waiting for us at the airport to take us to Puerto Ayora. We will check in at the hotel and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.Afternoon - Charles Darwin Research StationAfter lunch, we will visit the Charles Darwin Foundation, which is dedicated to the conservation of the flora and fauna of Galapagos. At this station, we will be able to observe land iguanas and the emblematic giant tortoises, which are the object of study and protection. 

Day 2: Exploring Isabela

  • 6:10 AM Meet at the dock. Upon arrival to Isabela, it will be necessary to check in our luggage. We will take a boat called “fibras” for a cost of $1 that will take us to another boat to Isabela, with a trip of approximately 2 and a half hours, depending on the state of the sea. To enter the island, you must pay $5 (nationals) or $10 (foreigners).
  • Adventure in Isabela: We will participate in aquatic activities such as snorkeling, where we can swim with turtles, sharks and penguins.
  • Return: We will return to Santa Cruz at the end of the afternoon.
  • 2:00 PM Lunch.
  • 2:30 PM Return to Santa Cruz.
  • 6:00 PM End of the day.

Day 3

Morning - Bay Tour

We will start this activity at 8:45 AM, sailing for approximately 20 minutes to Punta Estrada. Places we will visit include the Love Channel, Shark Channel, Playa de los Perros and Las Grietas. We will have the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions, sea turtles and reef sharks, as well as observe blue-footed boobies. We will finish this activity around 2:00 PM.

Afternoon - Nymphs Lagoon

The crystalline and turquoise-green waters are surrounded by a mangrove forest with three predominant species: white, black and button. The area presents a ravine of more than 15 meters high where you can see typical vegetation such as opuntia cactus and palo santo, creating a harmonious landscape between vegetation and rocks. 

Day 4

Morning - Los Alemanes Beach

This beach is approximately 300 meters long and is surrounded by forests of four species of mangroves: white, black, red and button. Its waters are transparent and have an intense turquoise color; the sand is coral with shades that vary from beige to golden. From the beach you can see rows of volcanic rock emerging from the sea.

Afternoon - Upper Santa Cruz

After lunch, we will explore the upper part of the island. During this excursion we will visit the Twin Craters and Rancho El Chato, where we will discover lava tunnels and observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat.

Day 5

Morning - Tortuga Bay

We will begin our tour to Tortuga Bay with a 30-minute walk. First we will arrive at Playa Brava, from where we will walk to Playa Mansa, a quiet place perfect for pictures and enjoy the natural environment.

Departure

We will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to the Baltra airport for our flight.
